Set in rolling countryside in Surrey, this 2 acres garden surrounds a former farmhouse which was converted into a family house. The aim of the proposal was to bring back that farming feel and nostalgia with emphasis on seasonality and dynamics of plant kingdom. Apple and Rowan trees were planted, new mixed herbaceous borders (400 m2) were created with huge proportion of Gramineae family to evoke endless fields of grain. All this underlined with black currants hedges which can easily cope with local clay soil.
