PHEASANT LODGE
Jemnice, Czech Republic
In the 19th century, this property was a well-known pheasantry where European elites like Russian and Austrian ambassadors used to meet to enjoy their hunt spree. Unfortunately its building was 'reconstructed' during communism era and lost all of its period character. Current owners have brought some of its charm back and rent out a half of the property to the tourists over the summer. The client was keen to enhance the surroundings of the house. At the first phase, an area around an outdoor terrace was redesigned to provide asylum for summer guests. Second phase is currently under way.
