Gravely shores of lake Windermere rise and drift through the concrete floors and walls of boatyard to embrace the new copper cladded buildings of steamboat museum. At one point, a reed bed wedges into these extents of exposed concrete and create a dramatic dialog of lines, angles, shadows and living tissue, occasionally interrupted by silhouettes of visitors and craftsmen.
